Maxxie turned to Cassie to reply at her comment.  “Oh yea, it’s a year or so old, I think you were still in New York then.  The place is great!”  Inside was packed with college and uni kids and Maxxie was glad to be around people his own age.  He looked around to see so many people he did not know, but a lot he recognized from college.  The blonde spotted a few cute guys, but didn’t think much of it since he was already in a relationship with a great guy.  He turned to Cassie who was admiring the place, smiling back at him.

The place could be a sanctuary to him, since he loved the music and there was nonstop dancing.  Maxxie smiled back at Cassie, excited to have a lovely evening with her.  “So do you want to get a few drinks, I’m probably not going to have much, I’m going to stick with beer, coke, or water.”  The boy waited for Cassie’s answer before heading over to the bar.

“Oh, wow.” she muttered, looking down. One year? That was extremely weird. She decided not to bring the wrong subject again, so she decided to check the place, what kind of people usually went to have a dance there. Nothing that made her worry, they were just kids near her age. Although she was completely used to that enviroment, it made her feel relieved she was not the only girl of her age that did that. It made her feel she was not lonely. Comforting. 

“Oh, yeah! I don’t really feel like having much, either…” she replied. It was strange for her seeing Maxxie refusing to drink. Not exactly “refusing”, just not being enthusiasmed about doing it. Before following her blond friend, Cassie stood in the middle of the place for a while, thinking of reasons why Maxxie wasn’t so pumped about drinking. In an instant, she noticed she was looking really silly. She shook her head fastly and ran to Maxxie.

Maxxie chuckled, “yea, came opening night, I got so fucked up, but it was so worth it.”  Maxxie started moving his body to the beat of the music.  The blonde walked towards the bar, it was weird to see all the booze and shit, usually when he drank liquor he do something stupid and tonight he was not going to do anything remotely that.  The boy just wanted to have fun, he wanted to just dance and enjoy the night with an old friend.

The boy ordered a beer and turned around to ask his friend.  “Hey Cass…” Maxxie began but stopped when he didn’t see the other blonde nearby.  He finally spotted her and signaled her over.  “What do you want to drink, on me.  I don’t care if you want some strong, I’m just trying to lay off hard liquor for awhile, you know, my troubles…” Maxxie quickly put a smile on his face, not wanting to finish the sentence.
